Art Battle Ottawa comes to the Canadian War Museum!
Eight artists battle it out over several rounds of artistic competition inspired by our special exhibition Outside the Lines, celebrating women war artists.
Watch the creative process unfold before your eyes and help vote for the Winner; it’s a sizzling experience of creation and community!

Artists can apply to compete. Also, most events have a ‘Wildcard’ easel, where artists leave their names at the door and we draw at random to pick the Wildcard Artist. To be a potential wildcard artist, just buy a ticket and show up!

Katherine is a self-taught artist who grew up in Montreal. Having studied wildlife biology, she has a deep love of animals and nature, tending to explore those themes in her art. She became a daily painter 4 years ago and has never looked back! Katherine dabbles in many mediums, but acrylic is her jam.

Jacqui Du Toit

Jacqui is a versatile storyteller, arts educator, Theatre Director, award-winning actor, playwright, and visual artist. She excels in projects that showcase her creativity, particularly those featuring stories by women, which she enhances with color and texture. Inspired by mask-making traditions from South Africa, Jacqui uses mixed media—acrylics, watercolors, and oils—to explore human relationships in her art.

Art has been Deanna's passion for as long as she can remember. Over the past several years, her artistic talents have expanded into digital mediums including photography, videography, and graphic design.
Suzannah Robertson
Suzannah has been a Paint Nite instructor since 2015 and is a two-time Art Battle City Championship Finalist. Once a portrait artist who devoted considerable time to commissioned pieces, she now works with time constraints as an artist. She is known for her strong painting skills.
