Artists can apply to compete. Also, most events have a ‘Wildcard’ easel, where artists leave their names at the door and we draw at random to pick the Wildcard Artist. To be a potential wildcard artist, just buy a ticket and show up!

Joseph is an aspiring bioartist from New Mexico and a citizen of the Navajo Nation. Currently pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, he is creating "Blood Quantum," which uses his evaporated blood to visualize radiation from Navajo-sourced uraninite. He also works with oil paints, audio, set design, and writing.

Edgar is working with watercolor and ink this year, creating anthropomorphic characters for his furry fandom audience. A freelancer since 2011, he’s sold physical works on Etsy for two years. He also uses colored pencils and collaborates with a comic writer on his own comic book, focusing on bold, comic-inspired styles across various mediums.
