Rae is a self‑taught artist who turned to art after leaving a healthcare path where she trained to be a physician. She began with watercolor in July 2022 and soon expanded into acrylics, soft pastels, oils, and encaustic. She loves bold color, moving between expressive abstraction and realism, shaped by her synesthesia, which lets her taste colors. Recently relocated from Oregon to the Netherlands, she has competed in ArtBattle events in Portland and Tacoma.
