Derrick is an artist who grew up in a military household, where change was constant, but creativity was always something he could rely on. Although he earned a degree in biology with a minor in chemistry, his passion for art never faded. His background in science, particularly zoology, helped him develop a strong appreciation for form and observation, but he ultimately wanted more room for personal expression.
