About the Artist:

Ryan Shava originally started off as a street artist who tagged abstract poetry all over the streets of Johannesburg. The art that he paints is in a neo-expressionistic style influenced by Jean Michel Basquiat. The works are academic in the sense that each piece seeks to  tell a story, as if looking at an artwork is equivalent to reading an elaborate novel. Painting from a young age,  Ryan has been developing his style incorporating street aesthetics blended with elements of elegance.
