Phonrop’s works often draw from folktales, mythical figures, and the landscapes of rural Isan, reinterpreting them until only the essence of humanity remains—fragile, conflicted, and struggling beneath the gaze of unseen power. He is drawn to atmospheres that feel familiar yet estranged, to landscapes that resemble home yet are no longer safe.
