From the artist:

Not a lot to celebrate in the offing come bleak January -- what, the Stupor Bowl?
Before rolling over to prolong that snooze - :Bring some friends on Saturday, January 21-- where hot-shot, deconstructed, re-discombobulated actual art committed by gobs of under-paid artists, a whole bunch of 'em, all gathered to paint right before your eyes.

These off-kilter, creative types will assemble and empty their craniums to splash the contents onto canvases all fighting for primacy as to who's best hung. And, if past is prologue, there'll be cake.

Julie Forbes provides redemption for lost artifacts. Those of a more secular bent consider it trash transmogrified. Discarded, then whipped to a froth by an edgy hand where she seeks to engage viewers with high-tech, torn-down art.

Jessica Perez
