Artists can apply to compete. Also, most events have a ‘Wildcard’ easel, where artists leave their names at the door and we draw at random to pick the Wildcard Artist. To be a potential wildcard artist, just buy a ticket and show up!

Katherine is a self-taught artist who grew up in Montreal. Having studied wildlife biology, she has a deep love of animals and nature, tending to explore those themes in her art. She became a daily painter 4 years ago and has never looked back! Katherine dabbles in many mediums, but acrylic is her jam.

Steph considers her art bold, eye-catching and perfectly imperfect. She loves chalk art, Posca pens, and latex-acrylic paint. She enjoys a playful juxtaposition style, replicating familiar favorites and color. Steph has helped raise over $7k for local charities who support our vulnerable neighbors who are more likely to experience homelessness.
Ottawa has a vibrant art scene, and it's completely bananas to think that I'm here with such talent.
I'll do my darndest and won't disappoint- I hope that my playful pieces will make you smile. I don't have a definitive recognizable trademark style, though there's a high likelihood that I'll use lots of colour and a juxtaposition or two. I paint for the enjoyment and fun of the audience, so seriously, please don't take me seriously.

At the moment, she is enjoying using a mixture of palette knives to create abstract painting along with a paint brush using what she would call a "free flow technique".
