Watch as talented artists battle it out in three rounds of 20-minute masterpieces, all created with open materials.

The pieces will be auctioned off and the crowd will crown the ultimate champion of the night!

Artists can apply to compete. Also, most events have a ‘Wildcard’ easel, where artists leave their names at the door and we draw at random to pick the Wildcard Artist. To be a potential wildcard artist, just buy a ticket and show up!

I'm incredibly excited to take part in my first art battle. Art has been a healing and transformative force in my life, and I hope it brings the same sense of healing to all of you.

Greetings! I am a self taught artist originally from Michigan/Chicago. I now reside in Portland, OR.
I primarily paint in oils, as well as mixed media with oil paint and Plaster. In addition I have created custom sneakers. Its fairly recent that I have started painting with Acrylic. It's a great medium but completely different from oils for sure!
This will be my second art battle. I am really excited to again have this opportunity to meet amazing people that share the love of art & self expression!

Son of a Gun progressed his career to the action sports industry working on graphics for snowboards, wakeboards and vehicle wraps. Now he does murals for record stores and restaurants and sign displays at Trader Joe’s./sf

John is a local Seattle artist who promotes anti-bullying and anti-violence through art and calls it "Smash the Hate". Most of his experience is in pencil drawings and he specializes in portraits. In addition to those, John also works with sculpting, calligraphy, wood carving and wood burning./sf

I recently started playing with neon and UV activated florescent paints to make some really cool psychedelic pieces. Then to make it more interesting, I ordered the blackest matte paint called Black 3.0 from the UK. So I'm excited to see what I can do for you all this time!
