Laura, an Air Force veteran, developed a love for bright colors with the rise of Boy George. After retiring, she rediscovered her passion for art and joined her first gallery. Her whimsical, vibrant works appeal to all ages, and she exhibits in Maryland, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Using acrylics, brushes, and palette knives, Laura creates art driven by her desire to spread joy through bold color choices. Her motto is "stop, look, imagine, and paint, paint, paint!"

My name is Laura. I have paint on my hands and live for the colors i create on canvas. Lauras colorful art is whimsical, happy and bright! There is never a dull moment when I paint. I am looking forward to seeing my fellow creatives and meet the audience at Art Battle. I can’t wait for this action packed event to start!

Amy, based in Wilmington, Delaware, brings a dynamic energy to her paintings, using acrylics and gel mediums to craft richly textured works. She incorporates unconventional techniques, such as finger painting and using icing piping bags, alongside brushes and palette knives, to depict traditional subjects in a uniquely non-traditional way.

I am so honored to receive the invite to compete in another Art Battle. While I absolutely love exploring new cities and connecting with other artists from all over, I am overjoyed to have the opportunity to compete in my hometown of Wilmington, among the folks who first supported me and gave me the courage to start my journey as an artist. They also provided the strength, inspiration, and motivation to stay on this path, allowing me to push through moments of defeat and self-doubt. Thank you, Delaware!

Jen Hintz Eggers, a lifelong Delaware resident, earned her BFA in Painting from the University of Delaware in 2008. She is the founder of the Ladies’ Art House and maintains a studio practice at the Studios@ the Delaware Contemporary. Jen specializes in drawing and painting, particularly enjoying pastels, gouache, acrylics, and oils.

Shilpi is a versatile artist, skilled in a variety of mediums. She teaches drawing and painting classes for creative individuals and also takes commissions for custom artwork.

Brian Mills is a contemporary artist known for blending pop culture, fashion, and vibrant pop art to create his unique style, “Miscel.” Inspired by his surroundings, he developed his original character, Kiro the Tiger Bear, and has worked with artists like Chris Brown, DDG, and Kevin Gates. Using a mix of acrylic paints, paint markers, spray paint, and glitter, Brian’s work explores limitless creative possibilities with bold colors and experimental techniques.

Sarah is a narrative illustrator who creates whimsical, emotionally honest art that highlights marginalized voices and stories. Drawing on a strong foundation in fine art and digital media, she crafts expressive characters with rich textures and emotional depth, often exploring the ordinary in extraordinary ways. With a background in both fine art and storytelling, Sarah now creates picture books and illustrations that help kids (and adults) feel seen in their unique, wonderful ways.

I’m officially in Art Battle. Once a Renaissance-costume-wearing kid, now an illustrator and storyteller painting live with a whole lot of heart. Come hang out and see what unfolds.

Gabriela Suarez is a Bolivian-American artist whose work is shaped by her journey of healing, self-love, and growth. Right now, she’s focused on a series of conceptual self-portraits that explore her personal experiences with mental health and trauma. Gabriela’s approach to art is versatile—she creates portraits for special occasions, teaches fun, interactive paint classes, and dives into deeper, more introspective themes.

Art has been a powerful tool in my own journey, and I’m thrilled to share that energy with all of you. I believe in the vulnerability and authenticity of art, and I’m ready to embrace the challenge and connect with you through my creative expression.

K.O. is an emerging artist who first developed his craft using pen and ink, later exploring mediums such as watercolor, pastel, and acrylic. Currently, he is broadening his creative scope to include sculpture. Known for his live portrait work, K.O. captures a wide variety of subjects, earning recognition for his skill in expressing the personality and spirit of each individual he paints.

Ciera is an artist from Delaware County, PA, working in both digital and traditional media. Her art is expressive and spiritual, often conveying deep emotion and inner reflection. Alongside her personal work, she creates logos, custom designs, and album covers. Ciera is currently studying at Salem Community College and will graduate this spring, transferring to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and Art Therapy. Her goal is to inspire others and create space for people to express themselves through art and psychology.

I am so excited to compete in an Art Battle! This will be a totally new environment for me - especially as an introvert. Putting yourself out there through art us both a nerve wracking and freeing feeling. I love trying new things, so I can't wait to live paint and be in the moment!

Gabrielle, based in Wilmington, Delaware, creates vibrant mixed media art inspired by botanicals and natural forms. After teaching art in Southeast Asia for 12 years, Gabrielle now volunteers at the University of Delaware Lifelong Learning Center and works in painting, ceramics, collage, and live worship art.

Geraldo is a Puerto Rican American artist based in Wilmington, Delaware. He is first and foremost a transit artist, known colloquially as “The King of Transit.” He sources material for his artwork from his trips on local transportation systems in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. Geraldo is a prolific multimedia artist, working in colored pencil, acrylic paint, watercolor, digital photography and video. He has been a member of the Creative Vision Factory in Wilmington, Delaware since its opening in 2011, fostering a mutually beneficial, long-lasting relationship with the organization.
