Garry, who leans towards Impressionism, is new to the traditional art scene as of 2022. He spent the last decade working in TV and games as a generalist and Tech Artist, contributing to the development of worlds for the Gears of War franchise. Garry is proficient in various 2D and 3D computer art software and specializes in sketching and painting.

Nataliia is an experienced Ukrainian artist whose harmonious visuals explore sensuality, sensibility, self-love, and the female figure. Her contemporary paintings offer colorful representations of the beauty we can find in the natural world. The artist layers spray paint and oils with bold brushstrokes, often coating her canvas with pastel shades and hazy dream-like hues.

Since 1989, Joanne has been teaching as a certified Bob Ross instructor. Additionally, she has hosted her own television show on public TV. Joanne's accomplishments also include illustrating 11 published children's books and creating 5 museum diorama murals. Her talents have garnered commissions from Canada, the US, UK, and Europe.

Samantha draws inspiration from surreal dreamscapes, sacred geometry, and abstract neon landscapes in her painting practice. Her use of ethereal color palettes, layered imagery, and intricate details invites viewers to delve into the possibilities of their imagination.

James, based in Vancouver, specializes in rusty-colored surrealism and oil painting. He enjoys participating in light-hearted community-building competitions.

Marty is a self-taught artist from Vancouver, who loves to paint at the beach in the summer. He loves to paint landscapes portraits animals and abstracts. Marty also has a love for reggae music, 420 culture and Hawaii. He hopes to travel the world painting someday.

Bosco is a semi-abstract artist who draws inspiration from nature, his surroundings, and everyday life. When painting, he often uses a palette knife to create rich textures and dynamic movement within his work. Bosco aims to share his ideas to inspire others and spark a unique sense of energy that engages the mind and encourages appreciation of the present moment. He primarily works with acrylic paint on canvas and watercolor on paper.

Ellie Martin, at 5’3”, is a force to be reckoned with in the art world. From traditional painting to carving teeth into fruit, her creations are as captivating as they are unique. Fueled by a competitive spirit since winning a jam competition at 12, Ellie thrives in high-pressure environments.

Donna James is an Indigenous artist and civil designer from T'it'q'et in the St'at'imc Nation. Drawing inspiration from her Indigenous heritage, she creates unique multi-media art, including painting, 3D cake art, crochet, jewelry, and T-shirt designs addressing themes like Every Child Matters and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. Self-taught through artists like the Art Sherpa, Donna has been painting for five years and continually explores new ways to express her thoughts and emotions.

I’m Donna James, an indigenous artist and civil designer from T'it'q'et in the St'at'imc Nation, excited to compete at Art Battle on July 5th, 2025! Mya is an emerging artist from Tsawwassen who expresses her inner world through color, texture, and the human form. Her work is personal and introspective, often featuring subtle, emotional details. She explores a range of mediums including acrylics, water-soluble oils, pen, pencil crayon, paint markers, and digital illustration. While she works as a receptionist, her passion lies in art—and she dreams of one day having a studio to match her creative energy.

Their art frequently features nature and animals, alongside influences from cartoons, anime, and related styles. Lacey’s skills extend to painting, drawing, sculpting, and photography.
