JUJU
Julian “JUJU” Guyton is a fractalist artist from Chicago, IL and the creative mind behind collective [MNGO.S]. His use of bold, vivid colors, as well as his subject matter, mixed seamlessly with use of text sets him apart from any other artist. He has traveled across the US, showcasing his work in various "Art Battle" competitions. His paintings give an intense, yet intriguing vibe, visually walking you through the mind of “JUJU”, unraveling various life experiences.
When certain aspects are removed or altered, it forces the viewer to disassociate from the "familiarity" of the object, thus sparking creative interest and curiosity. Fractureism can spark a lot of emotions (confusion, curiosity, etc.), but if it catches your attention, then the intended job was completed. Art is all around us, but who's to say what is and isn't art? Fractureism is my visual language - a response to a world that seems lost and to have forgotten its way, fixated on the need to constantly compare versus standing out and being an individual; a style that continues to break and bend the rules, revealing a truth that most overlook.

In my artistic practice, I create work that is meant to visually speak the unspoken truths of mental health such as depression and anxiety. While my current personal work explores these conversation of mental health, I still dabble in different subjects matters, styles and mediums as well. I also take commissions for other projects. I’ve designed and painted murals reflecting the different social cultures I work with. I am deeply fascinated with the human experience and want to continue showing the healing that comes from creating art.
