2015 International Live Painting Championship
July 24 & 25, 2015

Day 1 – July 24
Location: Distillery District Trinity Square, 1 Trinity Street
Artist Call Time: 12pm
Event Begins: 1pm
Event Ends: 4:30pm

Day 2 – July 25
Location: Nathan Phillips Square, 100 Queen St West

Artist Call Time: 2:30pm
Event Begins: 4pm
Event Ends: 6:30pm

This has been an amazing year for live competitive painting! Artists from across Canada, America, Central and South America will compete in the first ever
International Live Painting Championship as a part of the

TORONTO2015 PANAM/Parapan Am Games

Event Structure

Art Battle is live competitive painting. All 20 painters will create the best work they can using only acrylic paint across 2 days of public painting.

*Artists must be available for both days of the competition to participate. 
 
DAY 1 July 24: All 20 artists will compete across 2 Rounds of live painting (20 minutes each round) on DAY 1, 10 artists per round, with each creating 1 painting.
All artists will move on to DAY 2
DAY 2 July 25: All 20 artists will compete across 3 Rounds of live painting (20 minutes each round) on DAY 2, with 10 artists in the first two rounds, each creating one painting.

The top voted artists will move on to the 3rd and Final round, where they will create a 2nd painting on a fresh canvas.

— Each artist is guaranteed to paint 2 paintings (one on each day), with the opportunity to paint a 3rd painting if they are voted into the final round on Day 2.
Voting
Finalists will be determined by cumulative audience vote over the course of the 2 days.

The winners will be determined by live votes in the 3rd and Final Round.
Prizing and Auction

1st place Winner will receive $1500 in Canadian Dollars, and the title of International Live Painting Champion

2nd place Winner will receive $750 in Canadian Dollars

3rd place Winner will receive $500 Canadian Dollars

Works created at the 2015 International Live Painting Championship will be silent auctioned with 50% of the proceeds going to the artists.

What to bring

We will provide the following materials – canvas, paint, easels, water containers, palettes, paper mixing plates and shop towels for rags. You should bring only your BRUSHES and any other non-mechanical tools you would like to use.

*The International Live Painting Championship is an acrylic paint only competition.

*The canvas will be 22 x 28 on Day 1 and 24 x 30 on Day 2.
