Art Battle est un événement compétitif de peintures créées en temps réel. 12 artistes visuels réalisent les meilleures oeuvres d’art possible en 20 minutes. 6 peintres compétitionnent au premier tour et 6 autres dans le second tour. Les 2 artistes gagnants des 2 premiers tours peindront au 3ème et dernier tour sur une nouvelle toile. Les gens du public votent pour leur création préférée à chaque tour ainsi que pour le gagnant final de chaque soirées .
Les créations réalisées au Art Battle seront misent à l’encan silencieux et 50% des profits iront aux artistes. Le gagnant des 2 tours déterminé par la foule se méritera un prix de 100$ en argent et une place aux Finales Régionales qui se dérouleront à l’été 2018.

Quoi apporter?
AB fournit le matériel suivant – toiles, peinture, chevalets, contenants pour l’eau, palettes, assiettes en carton pour mélanger vos couleurs et des essuie-tout ou guenilles. Vous n’apportez que vos PINCEAUX et autres outils non-mécaniques que vous désirez utiliser.

Competition structure and rounds:
- Art Battle is Live Competitive Painting.
- 12 painters create the best work they can using only acrylic paint
- Each event features three (3) x 20 minute rounds of public painting.
- 6 painters will compete in Round 1, the remaining 6 in Round 2
- The top two painters from each of round 1/2 (as voted by the audience) will go into a 3rd, ‘Final Round’ with a new canvas.
- In the Final Round, the audience will again vote, and a single Winner will be chosen for the event.
- The Winner will advance to the Summer 2019 City Finals!
- All work is auctioned to the highest bidder (silent auction)
Silent Auction
Works created at Art Battle will be silent auctioned with 50% of the proceeds going to the artists. Your local organizer will let you know the expected timeline and method of payment at the event. Works that do not sell remain the property of Art Battle.
What to bring
You should only bring your BRUSHES and any other non-marking, non-mechanical tools you would like to use. Art Battle will provide the following materials – canvas, paint, easels, water containers, palettes, mixing plates and shop towels for rags.
Admission for you is free and you can bring one (1) guest
Your admission to the event is free and includes one free guest. To keep it simple, your guest (1) can give YOUR name at the door unless indicated otherwise by your local organizer.
Competition Rules
- Artists have 20 minutes to create their painting, unless otherwise noted by organizer.
- Artists may only use the acrylic paint provided by Art Battle. No outside media is permitted.
- Artists are provided with 1 canvas, 1 palette, 2 mixing plates, cleaning towels, and 1 water container per Round.
- During competition Artists may use any non-mechanical tools: Brushes, palette knives, rollers, sponges, tape etc. Tape must be removed before end of the Round.
- Pre-made images, stencils or mechanical tools (spray bottle, hair dryer, etc) are not permitted.
- Palettes must be set prior to the beginning of each Round. No additional paint once the Round begins.
- Artists may not mix paint until the Round begins.
- Reference material is not permitted at the easel.
- The top 2 Artists by audience vote in each of Round 1 and 2 will advance to compete again in Round 3.
- In Round 3, Artists make a new palette and are provided with new canvas and supplies.
- There is no theme, Artists not limited in subject matter.
