Paul Nabuurs is an artist based in Peterborough, known for creating striking works with a bold colour palette that are at once filled with vibrating energy and nostalgia.  Inspired by a mix of landscapes and city scenes, his works are alive with a fresh and inspiring take on Canadian identity.

In his first Art Battle in January, in a flurry of creative energy Paul’s canvas toppled from the easel and anointed him with paint, this coupled with his obvious talent brought him luck and sprung him into the Peterborough Finals, where he went toe to toe (or brush to brush) with 11 other Peterborough Winners and All-Stars. Paul was victorious once again and will now represent Peterborough in the 2014 Art Battle National Champioship.
