Artists can apply to compete. Also, most events have a ‘Wildcard’ easel, where artists leave their names at the door and we draw at random to pick the Wildcard Artist. To be a potential wildcard artist, just buy a ticket and show up!

Meredith is a traditional, digital, and tattoo artist from the Minneapolis area. She specializes in storytelling and bringing the unseen into the seen with her emphasis on spiritual and fantasy pieces.
Patricia Angel Leal
Patricia's art often explores themes of growth, the connection beyond the physical world, and body positivity. Her subjects frequently include flowers and nudity, reflecting these concepts. Through her work, Patricia hopes to inspire others and speak directly to their hearts.

Tamina Muhammad

Tamina is a professional, internationally recognized face and body artist, known for her freestyle urban style art. She travels to conventions to teach her unique art style within the face painting community. Tamina works with watercolors, ink, markers, and acrylics.

Ryan Howard

Ryan uses a color palette of only six colors in his work, which spans various subjects. His primary focus is on landscape painting, allowing him to explore depth, perspective, lighting, and color. His landscapes often personify the subject, such as a mountain range with purple clouds that creates a feeling of uncertainty. Animals, a lifelong interest of Ryan’s, also appear in his art. His work is heavily influenced by the Impressionists, as he enjoys using vivid brushwork and bright colors to bring his pieces to life.

Donna is a published artist in many different magazines. Her work has been shown in juried shows such as, Stonearch Festival Art Fair, Loring Park Art Fair, Rivertown Fall Art Festival and Uptown Art Fair. Donna’s work also hangs in the Calendula Gallery in the Northwestern Building in St. Paul, MN. Donna's art is funky, fun, creatively colorful. The bright colors tend to bring the viewer into the painting and enjoy where it may take them.

In 2019 after a layoff, Terri decided to switch career paths and pursue a career in illustration. As of 2023 she enrolled in the storyboardart.org mentorship. Terri's goal is to be a storyboard artist for a feature animation someday.

Corinne is an abstract intuitive artist. Her artist moniker, "Chaotic Plane of The Divine," is inspired by the realm where a Pisces resides. She is excited about the opportunity to perform and create in this environment, while also looking forward to meeting other artists and becoming involved in the community.

Andrea, a passionate hobbyist artist since high school, is currently studying at the Milan Art Institute to hone her skills and pursue a career in professional painting. With a solid background in acrylics, she is now delving into oil painting. Andrea enjoys creating both portraits and abstract landscapes, experimenting with techniques such as radiant underpainting, subtractive underpainting, and charcoal.

Andi Mary
Andi uses a variety of mediums to create her art, embracing the uncertainty of the process. Though her perfectionist side struggles with this, she’s learned to trust her creativity, finding it therapeutic for her mental and physical health. Her work spans fiber arts like crocheting, felting, and quilting; painting with acrylics and on glass; drawing with chalk and more.
I’m at a pivotal point as I am back in school full time and need a quick brain challenge creative outlet. So I figured practicing for Art Battle is the way to do it. Let’s see what comes out of my paintbrush!
Vincent Kenobbie

Vincent is an openly queer artist based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who began creating art to better understand their experiences as a queer and neurodivergent individual. They have exhibited widely across rural and urban Minnesota, including two solo exhibitions and eleven group shows. Vincent has been featured in three publications and received several prestigious scholarships, including the MCAD Presidential Scholarship and the Patricia B. Saunders merit scholarship.
I’m ecstatic to participate in my first ever art battle! It means a lot for me to be able to share my art with others in such a pronounced way. I hope that you may connect to my art and the messages behind it.
