As the child of Vietnamese boat people refugees, her work explores the profound significance of water as both a life force and a symbol of escape, resilience, and tragedy. She is part of the Treehouse art collective and has made a few public art commissions for the city of Toronto.

Maya Wysocki is an illustrator and designer based in Ottawa, Canada. Inspired by the Western and East Asian cartoons of her childhood, her work blends bright colors and playful humor—even when exploring serious themes. For the past eight years, she’s freelanced alongside local artists, musicians, and small businesses, building her skills in graphic design, children’s media, and printmaking. Maya aims to help others embrace themselves through her art and loves collaborating to overcome creative challenges.

Bachir is primarily a painter.

Passionate about blending art with psychology, Sarah is currently pursuing a master's in art therapy. She works across various mediums, including painting, drawing, collage, textile art, and ceramics.
