Javier, also known as OKTO, has expertise in printing, graphics, and illustration, with experience in merchandise design. A curious and evolving artist, he works across multidisciplinary projects like murals, illustrations, and graphic design. Using techniques such as acrylics, spray, oil, and chalk, his work spans pop art, surrealism, portraits, and splash painting, while recently exploring augmented reality.

BlackWhale Aimee's artwork blends realism and abstraction. She once focused on realistic portraits, but her latest creations involve using charcoal on old newspaper or magazine paper to preserve and connect with the cultural heritage of the printing era. Through her work, she explores the concept of "time," reflecting on the cultural imprints left by different periods and how she transforms and passes them on to a new time.

Christopher is a self-taught airbrush artist and tattoo artist with four years of experience. He creates a variety of art styles, ranging from realistic paintings to bold, vibrant abstract works, aiming to tell stories and convey emotion through his art. When he first began tattooing, Christopher didn’t have any tattoos himself and tattooed many people before getting his own. He specializes in painting, airbrushing, spray painting, and photography.

Sam enjoys painting figures and portraits. He started with life drawing and portraits but eventually grew bored. He then experimented with abstract art, only to lose interest again. Now, he's focused on creating anything—something that keeps his attention—almost as if he has artistic commitment issues. His work spans drawing and painting.

Ajith creates deeply personal drawings that serve as a powerful medium for expressing his thoughts, feelings, and desires. Through his artwork, he invites viewers to emotionally engage, encouraging reflection on their own inner world and personal experiences. Currently working as a psychologist, Ajith humorously notes that his art might suggest he’s in greater need of therapy than his clients. His main forms of creative expression are drawing, painting, and photography.

Harriet is a Sydney-based artist known for her comics and illustrations, using humorous drawings to explore expressive storytelling. In addition to her comic work, she regularly experiments with various mediums, including paint, watercolors, pencils, collage, sculpture, and photography. A graduate of Sydney College of the Arts (2019) with a major in print media, Harriet has since been an active participant in local zine and comic fairs.

Hi, I'm a comic and zine maker from Sydney, passionate about experimenting with different mediums, comedy, and color. I’m excited to step out of my comfort zone and explore what I can create within the exciting challenge of the Art Battle arena.

Eric specializes in painting, blending realism with a touch of surrealism while incorporating social and personal commentary. One of his artworks won the prestigious Judy Cassab Prize.

Tonya strives to find beauty in capturing moments or found objects with high-intensity texture, vibrancy and tonal contrast. Her works aim to accentuate these subjects in a striking and visually stimulating way, experimenting with bold complementary colors to enhance character and life. Tonya began working with acrylics but has gravitated towards the rich and malleable qualities of oil paint, finding a balance between contemporary and realism.

Olga sees art as an escape, a way to express what words cannot. She began creating art in high school but later chose a different career path. She continued to make art randomly, mostly as a form of therapy. Now, she's excited to participate in Art Battle to express herself. Currently, Olga is also a DJ, and music serves as her colors. She prefers working with pastel crayons and has a deep love for abstraction.

For me, art is escape, a way to express what words can’t. Now, I’m challenging myself to put that energy onto the canvas in this Art Battle, blending emotion with creativity to create something one-of-a-kind.

Lexie primarily works with ceramics and sculpture, but she has a strong passion for illustration, fine line work, and watercolor-style paintings. She enjoys blending these mediums together and dreams of illustrating or painting a children's book. Her creations are driven by curiosity and a sense of playfulness. While she mainly focuses on ceramics and sculpture, Lexie also works with multimedia painting and collage.

Annie is a freelance illustrator known for her vibrant, cozy, and endearing art. She uses gouache, pencils, crayons, and acrylics to create rich textures, often inspired by nature and storytelling. Her work explores themes of kindness, biodiversity, and mental health, with a calming, imaginative style. Annie enjoys using gouache and colored pencil, adding texture with crayons and watercolors, and prefers digital art for commissions.
