Ukarau John

Ukarau John is a clothing designer and the creator of Kakau Clothing, drawing inspiration from his grandmother and Cook Islands culture. In his wearable art, reds, yellows, and oranges evoke sunlight and fire, while blues and blue‑greens reflect lagoons, the ocean, sky, and moonlight. He hopes to be part of the artworks and proudly represent Rarotonga, the Cook Islands, and Sydney, the place he now calls home. Ukarau carries the affirmation: I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious, and happy.
