Garry Brookes
Garry Brookes began his career in VFX and animation, spending over a decade crafting digital worlds before the work grew increasingly technical and pulled him from the creativity he loved. In 2022, he returned to traditional art, reconnecting with hands‑on expression through painting. Inspired by animals and the natural world, his impressionistic work blends loose forms and bold color to evoke movement and wonder. He also enjoys live speed painting, winning the 2024 Art Battle Vancouver Regionals and representing BC at Nationals.
