Haley's art is bold colors and bright lights to bring a more modern approach to a classic subject matter. She is obsessed by how colors change the emotions we feel when we look at a work of art. Haley has a line of hand-painted refurbished flannel shirts available on her website that she wears all the time.

Madelynn is a self-taught, semi-realism and surrealism artist from Bend, OR. After working for years with practice and dedication, she is ready to share her art on a wider basis in hopes that someone will resonate with her pieces.

Franswuhh is an artist who specializes in drawing, painting, graphic design, and tattooing. He got into drawing at very young age when he saw his first anime. While he is slowly building his own style, he studies the greats like Picasso, Dali, Van Gogh and Warhol. Right now, his style is a form of abstract portraits with an explosion of vibrant colors.

Holly lives in Portland, Oregon and shares her passion for art with others at her downtown art studio. Through her work she imbues animals, landscapes, and people with a colorful magic exploring an emotional journey. Holly wants her art to bring joy and positive energy to a space, and to capture the imagination of her audience.

With an eye for unique palettes and creating a sense of depth, Janae describes their style as a colorful mix between expressionism, impressionism, and surrealism. Janae has always been inspired by nature, choosing to incorporate elements of both the natural world, and the cosmic unknown for an intriguing duality between imagination and reality.

Giusiana is a Seattle based multi-media artist whose work is largely inspired by her experiences living life with an incurable illness. A lot of her work is dark and moody, but she also enjoys working in lighter themes as it shows beauty in the darkness. Giusiana works mainly in acrylic but enjoys using watercolor and ink as well.

I’m so excited to compete in Art Battle again! I love the community I’ve found and the people I’ve met. I’m excited to meet these amazing artists I’m competing against, and to create something new!

An avid adventurer, Em loves taking photos of places they've been and then painting from their explorations. Em enjoys the PNW because there are endless opportunities for beautiful views. Em uses different techniques for painting but especially finger painting!

I love adventuring around the PNW and seeing all the beautiful places there are to see. I enjoy coming home and painting those images and make my memories come to life on canvas! I enjoy using different techniques for painting but especially finger painting!

Olga has always loved drawing, first with pencils then with paint. She was drawn to the world of imagination, to the world of heroes and later on, nature. She hopes that one day she can express herself with brush strokes and colors as easily as if she was talking out loud.

Oregon native Chase Velarde’s artistic journey began with a childhood fascination with Saturday morning comics, 80’s sci-fi, and OG portraiture masters of the renaissance. Today, Velarde is an art director at an animation studio and continues to pursue his love for traditional art by specializing in mixed-media portraiture. His work can be found in a multitude of children's books and video games.

Lera's art is an expression of herself. She is defining herself as an artist by applying her ability to articulate her inner voice through art and tell and original story.

Ever since Esther can remember, she has had a pencil and paper in her hands. When she is drawing or painting, she is most at peace. She specializes in pen and ink and acrylic painting.

Kater's art transcends what most call "low brow" art. With a harsh yet comforting tone, its often described as a trippier Dr. Seuss. He has over 10,000 hours in using spray paint, and acrylic/brush. He also illustrates, paints murals, design clothes, makes-3d designs for toys, designs album covers, and has actually created a medium of his own, being the first person to create a saran-wrap mural.

Liz was traditionally trained in oil painting and portraiture at Oregon College of Art and Craft. She has since shifted her passion for art to painting 3D resin printed Dungeons and Dragons miniatures. But she has a special place in her heart for painting.

I was classically trained in oil painting, but my passions lies in painting D&D miniatures. I can't wait to spend my time creating art again with Art Battle.

Frida is a face and body painter as well as a studio painter. She will paint on anything! She also specializes in everything from portraits to logos to sculpture.

I am thrilled to participate in an other Art Battle event. A paintbrush is hand is my happy place.

Jordan is a Portland-based artist, originally from Kansas, who embodies a fusion of murals and live painting. He is renowned for captivating word portraits infused with graffiti influences. Jordan is currently engaged in collaborations with local schools to enhance campuses with bright bold educational murals with the help of students and teachers.

Grateful for the opportunity to paint and connect with other passionate artists. Thank you to the Art Battle community and volunteers for making this inspiring experience possible.

This is Hillarie's 5th Art Battle. Art Battle has helped her to move away from her sometimes-rigid painting style and pushes her to let go of details, focusing on the creative process. She enjoys painting Pacific Northwest scenes and infusing them with color and contrast.
