Artists can apply to compete. Also, most events have a ‘Wildcard’ easel, where artists leave their names at the door and we draw at random to pick the Wildcard Artist. To be a potential wildcard artist, just buy a ticket and show up!

David's mission is to reveal the loveliness in what may seem ugly. He thrives on the energy of Art Battle, finding liberation and empowerment in being observed.

David is a passionate oil and acrylic painter who signs his work “OMP,” a nickname from his granddaughter. Inspired by Impressionism and realism, he’s still discovering his style. With a strong eye for perspective and a background in sketching, David brings depth and detail to his work. His greatest strength is persistence—he keeps painting, learning, and growing, often working on canvas or wood panels.

Hailey Tonkin
Hailey is an artist whose work carries a strong celestial vibe, often infused with darker elements that reflect her emotional state. She typically paints during challenging times, using art as a form of therapy and self-expression. Her pieces sometimes include hidden details or “Easter eggs,” like the tiny ghosts she once tucked into a gift painting’s clouds—surprises that invite viewers to look deeper.

Irena

Irena has been painting since graduating from the Art University in Riga, Latvia, where she studied stage set design. She has designed costumes and decorations for the theatre and has been living in Canada for 25 years. Passionate about painting and interior design, this is Irena’s second art battle, having won her first last year in Fort Erie.
I have been painting since my graduation from the university of Art in Latvia. My inspiration is the nature all around us. My preferred technique is oil, but here i am working with acrylics, Nice to see all of you here.

Megan has illustrated two books and explores many creative forms, encouraging others to find joy in art and everyday moments.
