Annah Marshall

Annah’s art is abstract and instinctive, inspired by emotions, music, and light. After a shoulder injury, she challenged herself to paint with her left hand, leading her to explore abstract art without the need for control or precision. A fashion designer and scenographer, Annah has worked as a street makeup artist, interned in France and Belgium, and spent over 20 years at Cirque du Soleil as a costume designer and milliner. She has also designed costumes for films and videos.

Gaëlle Eber

Gaëlle has been specializing in portrait art for 30 years. She once completed an impressive series of 100 paintings in just 77 days. Working primarily with acrylics and dry pastels, Gaëlle's passion for art was further ignited after participating in Art Battle, leaving her truly captivated.

Jonathan Hoareau

Jonathan is a self-taught artist who enjoys experimenting with various styles and mediums. He has created custom works for clients, ranging from portrait art to landscapes. He has a particular love for layers in his artwork. His preferred mediums include gouache, acrylic, ink, pencil, and digital art, with mixed media being a favorite—particularly the combination of gouache and pencil. Jonathan also enjoys urban sketching and landscape art.

Bachir is a Senegalese multidisciplinary contemporary artist who is new to the Montreal scene. He has been developing a project called "Wakh Sa Guiss" (Say What I See) for nearly five years. Fusing surrealism and Pop Art, Bachir creates an imaginary world that serves as a mirror reflection of society. His story begins with humanity being swallowed by the abyssal depths of the sea, a symbol of the excessive dehumanization in the city. Bachir is primarily a painter.

All of her eyes are seeing her audience with "eyes of empathy", intended to create safe and playful spaces to unmask emotions in front of fine art. She is so excited to compete for her first time at Art Battle Montreal!
