Artists can apply to compete. Also, most events have a ‘Wildcard’ easel, where artists leave their names at the door and we draw at random to pick the Wildcard Artist. To be a potential wildcard artist, just buy a ticket and show up!
Cyrena Sitter is a Contemporary artist based in Edmonton. She works primarily in acrylic and oil paint where she enjoys playing with lighting. Bold and whimsical colors give her pieces a surreal life like appeal.
Glen Sergy is an Edmonton artist whose process mirrors his story: make a mess, make decisions, then refine it into something meaningful. Trained in graphic design with a BA from the UofA, he explored many mediums while working outside the arts. Since 2019 he’s been a Paint Nite mentor. He still creates his own projects, jumping between mediums but always following the same playful, expressive process.
Jonathan Gutierrez is a Filipino‑Canadian self‑taught artist whose focus includes painting, drawing, abstract work, mixed media, and both traditional and digital art. He has been part of international art galleries in the USA, Japan, Europe, and Canada.
Max, a professional artist and 3D animator, loves creating vibrant palette knife paintings. Originally from Ukraine, he moved to Canada in 2013 and also incorporates elements of Ukrainian National Painting into his pop art works.
Robert is a 50‑year‑old family man from the Philippines living in Edmonton. He has been creating art since grade school, and painting has long been his way of expressing himself. After becoming a father to a neurodivergent son, he stepped away from art, but hearing about this competition reminded him it’s time to share his talent again. Art still holds a special place in his heart, and he’s ready to return to it.

Tristan Stewart, the artist known as “Trizzy Artzy,” has been working with mixed media art-forms for close to 11 years now. Originally, utilizing acrylic paint and spray-paint, he has a passion for the abstract vibrant neon art and fluid paint style . He loves Abstract and Abstract realism . Trizzy also creates complicated wood-burning pieces on wood canvases, he also does flow art performances with blacklight painted props and does uv body painting. Also he paints all types of clothing with a mix of created and found stencils and his free flow splatter style. His obsession with fine detail and free flow chaos really leads to an amazing symmetry and randomness within his designs and art pieces.
