Cecilia Chan

Cecelia is an expressionist artist, especially drawn to landscapes. She works with a variety of mediums, including acrylics, oils, watercolors, and sketches. Passionate about creating art quickly, Cecelia is always excited to push her creative boundaries.
Daniel is a multidisciplinary artist and curator based in Ottawa, Canada. He creates murals and illustrations featuring birds, wildlife, and vibrant backgrounds that are found throughout the city. Using discarded materials, Daniel reinvents objects to craft meaningful artworks.
Heather's art is a vivid blend of nostalgia, whimsy, and surreal humor. Her paintings bring playful characters and familiar icons to life with expressive eyes and bold color palettes. Her work balances sweetness with strangeness, often fusing childlike innocence with a slightly uncanny twist. Her style is instantly recognizable with imaginative portraits, quirky food figures, and dreamlike scenes that feel both comforting and mischievous.
Jennifer has worked in multimedia as a storyboard artist, art director, sign painter, muralist, calligrapher, and theatre designer. She embraces the challenge of Art Battle’s 20‑minute clock, refining her vision to its essence—personal, relatable, and immediate—conveyed directly to the audience.
Kina is a multidisciplinary artist currently practicing acrylic and oil painting from The Loft Art Studios in Ottawa. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University in Montreal. She co-founded the artist collective Artawa with her partner in 2016. She currently teaches painting and drawing to all ages at the Ottawa School of Arts in Orleans. She is also a member of the Urban Art Collective.

Nicole is a Venezuelan urban artist, muralist, illustrator, and painter who brings color and imagination to life. Her style blends fantasy and animation using acrylics, watercolors, and spray paint. For the past four years, she’s freelanced creating murals and custom pieces and has participated in community projects and art festivals. Nicole dreams of traveling the world, turning grey walls into vibrant spaces that inspire joy and connection.
Panda's art is rooted in realism. Currently, he isn't focused on conveying deep, esoteric meanings, acknowledging that the right moment will come when he has a message to share with the world. For now, he allows his art to speak on its own terms.
Sarah is a contemporary figurative artist with a focus on emotive storytelling through portraiture. She enjoys creating spontaneous art and has found inspiration in the pressure and imperfections of speed painting at Art battle. Sarah works as a full-time graphic designer and continues her creativity after hours in her paintings.
Sawsan Shorbajee is an accomplished multicultural artist based in Ottawa, Ontario, creating expressive works that blend realism and abstraction. Her art draws on rich cultural influences and contemporary techniques to explore beauty and emotion across diverse forms.
Suzannah, a two-time Art Battle City Championship finalist, has been a Paint Nite instructor since 2015. She is a former portrait artist with a BFA who stepped away from commissions to fall back in love with painting under pressure. Her work ranges from literal to expressive, cerebral to emotional—always reflecting the moment she's in.
