Artists can apply to compete. Also, most events have a ‘Wildcard’ easel, where artists leave their names at the door and we draw at random to pick the Wildcard Artist. To be a potential wildcard artist, just buy a ticket and show up!

Ivan is an architecture graduate and has done digital art and sculpting. He really enjoys oils, watercolors, pen and ink, pencil, and charcoal. He really loves to work on portraits. Provoking positive emotion is important to Ivan, even when representing a serious topic.
Caitlin Christakos
Caitlin paints photo realism and abstract pieces. She creates art pieces that revolve around other's inspirations. While her main media is painting and drawing, her skills and mediums are varied. She currently runs a paint night in Sudbury and her own home art studio.

Cailey specializes in acrylic painting and drawing. She is always up for a challenge and likes to try new things. This is her third time competing and she loves the learning experience.

Anyse is a visual artist, working in both digital and traditional media. She likes to dabble in all sorts of representational art, but her passion is dark fantasy illustration with fantastical characters and magical creatures. Anyse likes to experiment with and combine all kinds of wet and dry traditional media, but her first loves are drawing in graphite and painting in acrylics.

Karrie returns! She is the co-owner of Gateway To the Arts Gallery and Event Space and Executive Director/Founder of Nick's Place For Us a youth art center that inspires youth and teaches them to chase their dreams.

Shawn Hamilton

Shawn has two different styles of work which included primarily painting landscapes, still life and pet portraits and also creating mixed-media abstracts. He does a lot of Plein air painting in the warmer months, which allows him to get the full experience and use all his senses. A full-time graphic designer, Shawn says that painting allows him to create for himself and have more freedom.
