Jess Lindell
Instagram: @aquilawatercolor
Jess's goal in her artwork is to employ the 5 C's: combination, contrast, color, correct drawing, and composition. She believes that no medium stacks up to watercolor because of its ability to be abstract and fluid to subtly describe features and objects, or sharp and controlled to accurately render intricate details.
No one expects watercolor for live painting, but I'm here to show you that watercolor is capable of so much more than it gets credit for. It can be abstract and fluid to subtly describe features and objects, or sharp and controlled to accurately render intricate details. I believe that it is the combination of these two elements, plus moody color and contrast that makes watercolor paintings interesting.
