This will be my first time ever competing like this! I have a specific passion for figurative work, and find myself often using art as a way to represent those familiar to me. I typically work in charcoals, etching, and acrylics.
Ryan Howard

Ryan's art centers on landscapes and animals. His landscape paintings explore depth and lighting, often evoking emotion through personification. His childhood love of animals is also reflected in his work. Influenced by the Impressionists and Edward Hopper’s use of light, Ryan uses a limited palette of six colors, mainly working in oils and watercolors. He also draws with pencils, charcoal, and Conte crayon.

Art is a great way to communicate, and I love using paint for that. There are so many mediums out there, but paint really speaks to me because of its vibrant colors. So, let's pick up those brushes and create something special!

Art is something I have adored my whole life. It’s a way for me to handle my emotions and stress. I love painting animals and nature and tend to have a semi-impressionistic style. I’ve never gone public with my art before, so I’m very nervous and excited about this experience!!

Painting is one of my voices of expression next to fashion.
James LeBaron
Instagram: Puravidagalleria
Santiago/James developed an artistic spirit at a young age. Working on ranches in Mexico, he always had to problem solve and think outside the box as the right materials were not always available. These skills, along with his creative energy and free spirit, are shown in his artwork. As a self-made artist, regular norms and processes go out the window, and this works immensely in his favor.
Excited to compete alongside so many amazing artists
