Self-taught artist Berto Morales creates realistic art infused with creativity and energy. With a background in comic book art, painting, and sculpture, he has recently ventured into tattooing. He thrives on the dynamic atmosphere of artist collectives like Art Battle and enjoys the thrill of painting live.

Caillin's art delves into our relationship with architecture, blending illustrative styles inspired by pop culture, comics, sci-fi, and fantasy. Alongside painting, he works as a goldsmith and typically uses acrylics mixed with a matte medium to achieve an illustrated or watercolor-like effect.

Angel is a surrealistic and vibrant abstract acrylic painter with 14 years of experience. Passionate about art and travel, she enjoys working with various mediums and has a special affinity for painting and creating.

Anthony is an artist from Hamilton, Ontario, known for his fun and colorful illustrations that draw inspiration from movies, comics, and internet culture. He enjoys creating mini paintings based on memes and pop culture, while also experimenting with various styles and mediums. His work includes acrylic painting, drawing, inking, sculpting, and tattooing.

Sam is an abstract expressionist inspired by natural textures and vibrant colors, working primarily in acrylics with mixed media. Their art often explores emotions and abstract thought, occasionally incorporating figurative elements. As an art teacher, Sam believes in the healing power of art and incorporates it as therapy in their practice, always saying, "If it feels good, you're making art."

I can't wait to combine the pressure of live performance with speed painting! I live for artistic excitement.

Irena has been painting since graduating from the Art University in Riga, Latvia, where she studied stage set design. She has designed costumes and decorations for the theatre and has been living in Canada for 25 years. Passionate about painting and interior design, this is Irena’s second art battle, having won her first last year in Fort Erie.

I have been painting since my graduation from the art university in Riga , Latvia. I graduated as a stage set designer and have designed costumes and decorations for the theatre. Have been living in Canada for 25 years. Painting and interior design is my passion. This is my second art battle. First was last year in Fort Erie in which I was a winner.

Alyssa is a painter and mixed media artist who lives and works in Hamilton. She studied illustration at OCAD University and Seneca College as well as Visual and Digital Art at Humber College. She works with these specific mediums because they add texture within her work that encourage viewers to physically want to touch when gazing at her work. It gives them the opportunity to connect with her pieces on a whole new level.

Mystiic Khalifa is a 28-year-old abstract artist from Toronto, known for bold, expressive work that blends emotion, chaos, and street-art energy. Inspired by legends like Basquiat and Picasso, he found purpose through art after overcoming addiction and personal struggle. Creating from his garage-turned-studio, Mystiic channels raw feeling into vibrant visuals—speaking through color, texture, and symbolism when words fall short. His art is a reflection of resilience, transformation, and the power of self-expression.

Most of my life, I felt lost — like I didn’t belong, like I had no purpose. I struggled to navigate the world and doubted myself constantly. But two years ago, I picked up a paintbrush… and everything changed.

Painting gave me life, gave me confidence, gave me me. I never studied the “right” way to make art — I just create what feels real, what heals.

Art is my therapy, my escape, and my voice. And tonight, I get to share that voice with all of you.

To anyone who feels like an outsider or like they haven’t found their path yet — don’t give up. Keep moving. Your moment will come.

From painting alone in my garage to now performing at Art Battle… this is proof that anything is possible when you believe in yourself.

Hasibush is a Toronto-based visual artist who specializes in live painting, primarily using water-based media such as acrylic and watercolor. Originally focused on realism, his style has evolved to embrace color impressionism with a growing interest in abstraction. Passionate about portraiture, Hasibush sketches daily during his subway commutes, filling several pages each day—a practice he’s maintained for over three years. He began his Art Battle journey in 2017 and continues to be inspired by the energy of creating art live.

Hello Guys, I am a Toronto based visual artist, I love doing live painting using mostly water based media like acrylic and water color. Christen enjoys painting nature, animals, and landscapes, with her work deeply influenced by Tom Thomson, Emily Carr, and the Group of Seven. She is passionate about capturing the natural world and also finds joy in creating expressive caricatures, blending both observation and imagination in her practice.

I always bring my "Bag of Tricks" to each competition because I love to use unusual tools to add paint to canvas! Painting in Art Battle is just as much a performance as it is a final product!
