Art Battle and The Other Art Fair are excited to be joining forces for the next edition of The Other Art Fair Sydney, which will be held from 8 to 11 May. These two heavyweights of the Sydney art scene are putting on a show for ages.

We’re on the hunt for artists like you, looking to put on a show with us in Sydney in just a few weeks’ time. Are you ready to do battle?
Every day, 8 artists will lock horns in friendly competition as we discover that the paintbrush is mightier than the sword.

Arzu encourages making “bad art” as a way to move past the fear of failure, believing that the best creations come through play and experimentation. She works with a wide range of mediums, choosing whatever best brings her ideas to life. While she has years of experience with acrylics, oils, and other traditional materials, she has recently been focusing more on watercolor and is also exploring digital art.

Vanessa Wolfe is a multidisciplinary artist passionate about exploring the balance between order and chaos in life and art. Self-taught and endlessly curious, her work spans intuitive abstract painting, stylized anatomical hearts, multimedia creations, the written word and clay sculpture. Drawing from her background in dance, bodywork, and psychotherapy, Vanessa brings a deep understanding of the mind, body, and emotions into her creative process. Kyle is a Sydney-based artist and illustrator known for creating wobbly, weird characters and quirky visual narratives. He is the creator of a comic series called Touching Doodles and is an avid life drawer, having produced over 300 comic strips using just ballpoint pens and post-it notes. Specializing in stylized illustration, Kyle’s work often features strong volume and is primarily done in pen. He also works with cardboard and found materials and is increasingly exploring digital illustration in his practice.
