His creative practice is both personal and expressive—he gets a puzzle piece tattoo for every artwork he sells, marking each milestone on his body. His artistic interests also include narrative illustration, drawing, painting, yo-yoing, and origami.

Gabriel Antonio is a self-taught artist whose vibrant, expressive style emerged during a time of personal change. Initially exploring paint pouring, he later embraced bold brushwork inspired by Van Gogh and the Impressionists. Known for using intense color and dynamic compositions, his work was featured in the 2021 Salem Arts Festival. As a member of the Salem Arts Association, Gabriel continues to explore the emotional power of color and movement.

Vicdan is a Turkey-born artist and designer now creating magic in Massachusetts. With a BFA in hand, she blends oil, gouache, printmaking, and digital art to capture the wild spirit of birds, animals, and nature’s little moments. Her colorful, expressive work turns everyday scenes into emotional stories where intuition dances with observation.

My work captures fleeting impressions of birds and animals through expressive brushstrokes and color. Inspired by nature in Massachusetts, I aim to reflect the emotion of a moment rather than exact realism — where observation meets intuition.

Doreen has been a professional artist for over 20 years and continues to learn and grow every day. Her style blends whimsy with a darker edge, using pictures and color to tell stories. While painting is her strongest skill, she also works in digital art, drawing, color palettes, storytelling, and product design.

Carlyn is an art teacher, wife, and mom of two who expresses herself through bold black lines, dots, and textures. Her work, often inspired by animals, uses pointillism and pattern to convey emotion. A 40-year-old punk at heart, she believes everyone can create art.

Dan is an acrylic painter who enjoys creating landscapes, animals, and quirky subjects, often highlighting imperfections with fine-tipped markers for texture and shading. His style reflects his emotions, and he challenges himself by drawing inspiration from other artworks. Painting has helped him manage stress and anxiety, especially during COVID. Dan is also exploring tattooing, aiming to bring his art into that medium. He favors smaller, detailed pieces but also enjoys spontaneous, expressive work.

Howdy my name is Dan kotlyar, this is going to be the first time I do an art battle but I’m excited for this opportunity to kick me back into a creative headspace and start painting again. The last art battle inspired me to pick up a paint brush again and I’m hoping I can put together something interesting for everyone.

Theo is a multimedia illustrator and comic artist from Boise, now based in Boston. They create fantastical worlds and mythical characters through digital drawing, animation, and handcrafted miniatures. Known for their quick sketch work, Theo has drawn over a thousand one-minute portraits, honing speed and efficiency. Their skills span digital painting, acrylics, watercolor, pen and ink, and marker, with experience in storyboarding, comics, stop-motion animation, sewing, and crafts.

Ally is an acrylic painter whose work celebrates nature, home, and the endless possibilities of imagination. She builds vibrant, layered pieces that convey deep positive emotions and movement. Inspired early on by a lesson in using unexpected colors for shadows, she embraces bold, expressive color choices. Alongside acrylics, she also works with watercolor, ink, and colored pencil, blending abstract energy with familiar natural and architectural scenes.

Maggie creates art that brings smiles, focusing on landscapes, animals, and anything that sparks her interest. Her work has been featured on the album cover for Grain Thief and the book Snow by Emma Collins. Starting with pen drawings, Maggie now loves painting with oils and acrylics, while experimenting with media like woodworking, screen-printing, glass fusing, and wheel throwing.

KiddQuotes, or Javon Morris, is a visual artist, illustrator, and graphic designer known for his distinctive style and playful twists on anime icons. He’s a Boston -born artist who uses a variety of mediums like pens, brushes, canvases, and fluorescent colors to create his unique pieces. KiddQuotes is also known for his live painting events.
