Artists can apply to compete. Also, most events have a ‘Wildcard’ easel, where artists leave their names at the door and we draw at random to pick the Wildcard Artist. To be a potential wildcard artist, just buy a ticket and show up!
I am 53 years old. I graduated from the Art Academy of Cincinnati in 1995 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting. I have been a working licensed tattoo artist for the past 13 years. I make, create, repurpose, and sell art in a variety of ways. I am interested in the Art Battle as an exercise in self confidence and human interaction.
Erik is an artist from Rhode Island that creates in many different styles and uses many different mediums that emphasizes bright contrasting colors. He is a graduate from the University of Rhode Island. When not creating art he enjoy local music and films.
Inspired by the impressionists, punk aesthetics, and inter-disciplinary mediums across poetry and film, Dilán makes art that blends their cultures within the Puerto Rican diaspora. Dilán is an award-winning writer and filmmaker from Connecticut. They currently split their time between their hometown and Boston. They hold a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College with concentrations in Film Production and Writing. Dilán is a two-time Stowe Story Lab Alum, a Tin House Alum, and a longtime regular at Life Drawing Boston. Their work has appeared in The Quinobequin Review, the International Puerto Rican Heritage Film Festival, and with Trident Poetry Collective both in writing and illustration. Their debut chapbook War Birds is a finalist for the 2026 Prima Materia First Chapbook Award with First Matter Press. When not writing and creating they can be found haunting local coffee shops and enjoying the sunshine.
Molly's art is driven by improvisation, shaped by the flow of ideas in the moment. It blends elements of both external influences and inner emotions. She enjoys experimenting with various styles, letting the unexpected unfold.
Her common theme centers around finding our shared humanity in the unfavorable emotions we experience. Her art is heavily rooted in her New England upbringing.
Renee is a passionate creator who enjoys painting, drawing, photography, and gardening. She aims to convey mood in her work while allowing the art to develop its own essence. Her pieces often feature detailed botanicals, portraits, and landscapes, with a growing abstract influence.
