Art Battle Philadelphia

12 confirmed artists

Alaina Joy Cook

Alaina Joy Cook

Alaina Joy is a multidisciplinary artist whose work centers on reclaiming the female body as a site of power, autonomy, and resistance. Through bold, provocative imagery and saturated color, she challenges the systems that shame, censor, control, and commodify women’s bodies, transforming them instead into symbols of agency, defiance, and self-ownership. Her practice draws from pop and street art influences, blending mixed media, found materials, and graphic elements to celebrate the female form in all its complexity—sexual, vulnerable, furious, soft, political, and unapologetic.
Bev

Bev

Bev is a Nigerian artist and digital creator, born in Maryland and raised in Nigeria. Inspired by the country’s culture, music, and fashion, she blends nostalgia with modern influences to create work that feels both personal and universal. Her art captures emotion and preserves moments through bold illustrations, experimental painting, and digital compositions. She also expresses herself through fashion, documents her life through vlogs, and creates content that encourages others to embrace their artistic voice without apology.
James cox

James cox

James is a painter, illustrator, and art teacher whose work spans oil painting, comics, and animation. He teaches to share his knowledge and support his craft, but his deeper aim is to create images and stories that evoke strong emotion. He also makes music and has spent over a decade creating album and merch art for himself and the New York music scene. Having made art for most of his life and taught it for nearly half, he’s excited by the chance to connect with other artists, join something meaningful, and take part in a competition he discovered on Instagram—one unlike anything he’s seen before.
Jared Alex Jackson

Jared Alex Jackson

Jared Jackson is a surreal landscape artist working in acrylic, oil, and blacklight fluorescent mediums. His work explores the space between inner experience and the external world, translating emotion, reflection, and consciousness into immersive visual environments. Drawing inspiration from spirituality, self‑care, and futuristic design, he creates pieces that feel both calming and otherworldly, offering viewers a moment to pause and connect more deeply. As the founder of JacksonGemstones, he blends art with a refined, modern aesthetic, treating each piece as both an experience and an expression of personal evolution.
Joe Rabcow

Joe Rabcow

Joe Rabcow is a multidisciplinary artist and urban storyteller known for his street art alter ego @discarded.radioshack.project, exploring analog technology, urban artifacts, and adhesive aesthetics. Working with street stickers, wheat paste, and site‑responsive interventions, he transforms discarded graphics and vintage motifs into visual encounters that celebrate nostalgia, material memory, and the poetic charge of everyday objects.
Josiane Roy-Boisvert

Josiane Roy-Boisvert

Josiane discovered her artistic talent a few years ago and has loved creating ever since. She’s excited to share her work and participate in the contest, looking forward to the experience and connecting with fellow artists.
Lindzor Parker

Lindzor Parker

Lindzor is a professional dabbler and queer multimedia artist based in Baltimore. Their work dives into the subconscious, exploring lost ancestry and long‑forgotten tales that drift through the dream realm, while opening a doorway to nature through movement, whimsy, and a touch of humor. A fast, expressive painter, they’ve worked as both a professional body painter and muralist, bringing big, energetic mark‑making into their pieces alongside quick, detailed taps of the brush.
Makayla McClendon

Makayla McClendon

Makayla is a Pittsburgh‑born and raised mother, gun‑violence survivor, and mixed‑media painter. Her work is rooted in resilience, using color, texture, and emotion to communicate perseverance. Through her art, she hopes to offer motivation and a reminder that no matter what someone is facing, there is strength in continuing forward.
Marcus Angel Colon

Marcus Angel Colon

Marcus is a passionate creator who finds joy in painting and sewing. Bringing ideas to life through color, fabric, and texture is his favorite way to express himself. He’s excited to keep growing his craft and exploring new possibilities. He recently attended the last event with his brother, Cyrus Colon.
Monea Muse

Monea Muse

Monea has always felt drawn to creative expression, exploring different outlets from a young age. As her craft matured, she began to see how her gifts could create space for others to find their own freedom. Whether through an image, a painting, or a song, her mission is to inspire people to embrace the present moment and believe in what’s possible. For her, being an artist isn’t just about making something beautiful—it’s about making others feel the emotion behind it.
Trinity Morett

Trinity Morett

Trinity is a sculpture artist raised on painting, creating since age two. Painting remains her core practice, driven by an intense, fast, and deliberate rhythm that seeks to evoke deep connections to place, experience, and the preservation of flora and fauna. She trained at the Philly Art Center, earned scholarships at Moore College, and assisted Mural Arts Philadelphia. A Pratt Institute scholar, she thrives under pressure, exhibiting widely and bringing instinct and precision to every live art setting.
Veronica Varela

Veronica Varela

Veronica is a Chilean artist who has been living in Philadelphia for the past five years. Nine years ago, she took her first oil painting class, and that moment sparked a new version of herself—the artist. She now works in both oil and acrylic, creating expressive paintings and hand‑painting clothing, accessories, and just about anything that can hold color.
