I am intrigued by the concept of Art Battle, of having a time constraint and "performing" painting in front of a live audience. It is a unique experience that I would like the opportunity to be a part of. I want to challenge myself and paint in this entirely new setting. I am excited to push my limits and see what I am capable of creating in this short amount of time while there are eyes on me. Additionally, I see Art Battle as a valuable learning opportunity, where I get to paint alongside other artists who may also be pushing their limits. We will be able to network and learn from one another. I am excited to see how everyone approaches this unique challenge, as well as see the final masterpieces!
As a form of expression, my art allows me bring my concepts and visions to life. My art also allows me to transform the physical space around me. I enjoy creating pieces that I feel are beautiful or powerful, something that I would like to hang up on a wall. I very much enjoy the process of painting, but also have a strong love for the end product, the final result. Being a very tactile person, I enjoy working in mediums that allow me to see and feel textures. In addition to painting on canvases, I enjoy painting on functional items as well, such as shoes and tote bags. In this way, I fuse beauty and functionality, turning my paintings into wearable art.
