Deirann Miché

Deirann Miché

Started drawing back in 2014 and never stopped. I learned from a close friend of mine, who inspired me to keep improving more and more throughout the years. I love making pieces that have a more colorful, vibrant and sometimes sketchy look. I like grotesque, cartoonish and very surreal elements, which are the ones I paint the most. I'm always open to see everyone's work as well as learn from what everyone creates 😀
Emmanuel Akolo

Emmanuel Akolo

Akolo Emmanuel Olusegun is a Nigerian-born, Niagara-based visual artist. Trained as a civil engineer at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, he transitioned into art, blending his analytical background with a self-taught, multidisciplinary practice rooted in realism and impressionism. Working primarily with acrylics and charcoal, he layers expressive brushwork, intricate textures, and his own fingerprints to create vibrant, emotive figurative works.

His art, often characterized by earthy tones and bold contrasts, reflects his environment while engaging with themes of identity, social justice, and human resilience. Through his visual storytelling, Akolo seeks to document both personal and collective narratives, using his practice as a tool to foster love, tolerance, and understanding across racial, cultural, and religious divides.

Akolo has exhibited internationally, with notable group exhibitions in Canada, Niagara Falls Exchange Studios, the United States, and Nigeria, including Reclaiming Narratives: A Black Resistance (St. Catharines, 2025), Melanin & Masterpieces (Art Gallery of Hamilton, 2025), Saatchi Art’s digital platform, and the Signature Sogal Acquire Auction (Lagos, 2019). In 2025, He won the “Best in Show” Award at Niagara Falls Juried Exhibition. In 2023, Saatchi Art recognized him as the only Nigerian artist among their “23 Artists to Collect in 2023.”

Beyond traditional galleries, his work has reached global audiences through a licensing partnership with Saatchi Art and Samsung Frame TV, making his paintings accessible worldwide as digital art. His works are held in private collections across Canada, Nigeria, the United States, the United Kingdom, and China.
