Baillie Arseneau

Baillie Arseneau

Baillie Arseneau, originally from Homeville Cape Breton, is a Halifax-based artist. Baillie has been painting since the early age of eight and was taught by Cape Breton Savant Marie Moore for ten years. Baillie has won multiple awards for her artwork; one such noteworthy accomplishment would be creating the design for a coin to commemorate the anniversary of the Gulf War. Baillie's passion is often expressed through paint nights, which she has been hosting since 2019. She hosts in-person events with joy and wonder of showing others how to create.
Brianne Casey

Brianne Casey

📍 St.Catharines, ON, CA

Brianne returned to the arts after a four‑year hiatus and a cross‑country move, beyond excited to get back to the canvas. She previously participated in this event in Hamilton and is eager to try again on the East Coast. She’s now doing markets, selling artwork, and taking commissions. Her work grows from what she sees, what she feels, and her love of visual storytelling.
Ellie parr

Ellie parr

Ellie loves painting Nova Scotia landscapes, typically working in oil. She has competed in two Halifax Art Battles at The Marquee and in the Nova Scotia Art Battle Championship, and she’d be thrilled to take part in this event again.
Evangelina Cecchetto

Evangelina Cecchetto

Evangelina is a local student artist who loves drawing and painting in multi‑media—primarily oil paint, but also charcoal, wax crayons, and water‑ or alcohol‑based markers. Her recent work explores nightlife and the vivid colors found in those scenes, using darkness to heighten the neon glow of clubs. She aims for visually exciting compositions and also loves the human figure, often practicing live figure drawing.
Gabriela Warlet

Gabriela Warlet

Gabriela Warlet besides being a local music artist from the Rap community, is also a visual artist by the brand name Bottle of White Roses with a mixed media experience. Whether painting, drawing digitally, drawing traditionally, customizing clothes or sculpting, she tries to express all of her feelings and thoughts about the world around her through self-made visual representation. Her style has soft elements mixed with surrealism and horror and a lot of influence from all sorts of inspiration - from anime all the way to Dali
Kelly Bingham.

Kelly Bingham.

Kelly is a creative soul—performer, actor, photographer, designer, and painter. He also flips homes and consults for businesses, a true dabbler at heart. Driven by the beauty around him and the urge to create, he’s visual through and through. Where art meets performance, that’s his jam.
Kim Baltzer

Kim Baltzer

Kim is an early childhood educator with a passion for art that she continues to explore as a side practice. She earned her BFA from NSCAD in 2004, majoring in textiles, and her work gradually shifted toward illustration and painting while still drawing on her textile background. Working mainly in charcoal and mixed media, she embraces layered, varied, and chaotic mark making. Her influences include Käthe Kollwitz, Angela Edwards, and Damian Goidich.
Raiana Garaeva

Raiana Garaeva

Raiana participated in Art Battle for many years and was elected to paint at the Art Battle Nova Scotia Championship in 2024 and 2025. She creates nature and animal paintings and enjoys sketching. She has volunteered with Theatre Arts Guild and has over ten years of experience working in documentary and fiction film production as a logger.
Ryan Larose

Ryan Larose

Ryan is a lifelong artist who draws inspiration from the most random places. He loves working in black and white as much as in bold, whacky colors. His style is emotional and defined by chaotic brushstrokes—an emotional alchemist turning instinct into expression. He has competed in Art Battle since 2023, reaching the Nova Scotia finals in both 2023 and 2024.
Starla

Starla

Starla is a fine arts and film student at NSCAD University, class of ’28. She enjoys pushing her creative boundaries and testing her artistic skills in competitive environments.
Zoey Russell

Zoey Russell

Zoey’s art is inspired by the silly things in life that make her laugh. She doesn’t try to be serious or deliver deep messages for the few who see her work beyond tattoos. She’s not an economist, anthropologist, politician, or sociologist—whatever she thinks of the world, bedamned. She avoids insincerity, doesn’t care for gallery culture, and would rather smile when she can. The dumber the art, the better.
