 Above – July 25th, 20 best live painters in action at Toronto2015 Pan-Am Games #Panamania

On July 24th and 25th, Art Battle Canada hosted the first ever International Live Painting Championship at the Toronto2015 Pan Am Games. 20 Artists from across the Americas gathered to make history and represent their countries in a live painting tournament – with just 20 minutes to turn each canvas into masterpiece. Over the course of 2 days these artists stepped up to the easel in front of an audience of thousands who would vote the best painters forward.

In a stunning and unexpected finish, the Final Round on July 25th was cut short by lightning and the title of International Champion was awarded to all 6 of the Final Round Artists!
Congratulations to the Champions Diane Fontaine of Gatineau Quebec, Katrina Manigbas of Toronto Ontario, Amy de la Merced of Detroit Michigan, Allee Olmstead of Regina Saskatchewan, Ame Papatsie of Pangnirtung Nunavut and Leanna TenEycke of Oakville Ontario, who share the title of 2015 International Live Painting Champion!
