He enjoys experimenting across mediums and recently began working on oversized canvases up to two meters tall, often completing paintings in a single, focused session. Known for bold, expressive brushstrokes and a confident, spontaneous approach, Jaz captivates audiences with how quickly his work comes to life.

Alex draws inspiration from the belief that our identities are shaped by those who came before us. Using paint as his medium, he delves into themes of family, daily life, and the natural world. His artistic process involves plein air studies and sketches based on old photographs, with each session strengthening his connection to past generations and nurturing a deeper understanding of himself.

Daphne is a natural-born artist who has loved drawing since childhood. Growing up in Malaysia, she frequently participated in art competitions. After migrating to Australia, she has yet to enter any competitions but continues to practice drawing in her free time. Daphne works with a variety of mediums, including pencil, colored pencils, watercolor, marker pens, and mixed media.

I aspire to harness my imagination to develop a captivating artwork that inspires and resonates with diverse audiences.

Mads is a one-woman art company known for creating bold, textured pieces described as a “mullet for your walls”—business in the front, party in the back, with bright colors and lively textures throughout. She loves bringing people’s visions to life and believes art should energize any space. Recently launching her own art business, Mads keeps costs low to make custom art accessible and enjoys commissions for recreating personal moments.

Hi Everyone! My name is Mads and I am so excited to be a part of this upcoming Art Battle. I will be stepping into the arena with nothing but paint, some questionable art ideas and a dream to mildly impress strangers with some vibrant textured art. I can't wait to see you all there.

Bradley Dengate, aka M@JESTO, is a Sydney-based street artist known for bold linework, vibrant colors, and themes of futurism, mechanics, cartoons, and surf culture. He works with the Kent Urban Marker Branding campaign, collaborated with Campbelltown City Council on sustainability artwork, and coordinates art in the disability sector. His practice includes design, drawing, painting, and stenciling.

Audrey became a full-time artist later in life, using art as a healing practice for her mental health challenges. She is currently a first-year full-time art student at the National Art School in Darlinghurst, Sydney, embracing this new chapter by taking a chance on herself. Audrey believes deeply in the healing power of art and works primarily with drawing, acrylic painting, printmaking, and photography. For her, creating art is both a personal journey and a source of renewal.

I have come to being a full-time artist late in life as a healing practice for mental health challenges (depression and anxiety) - so this is me putting myself out there and taking a chance. I am a first-year full-time art student at the National Art School in Darlinghurst, Sydney. I believe that art has healing powers. Gaule is a color-blind, self-taught artist from Dhangadhi, Nepal, now based on Awabakal Country in Newcastle. His work blends the cultural richness of his homeland with the coastal beauty of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, using watercolors, ink, acrylic, and drawing. Relying on contrast, texture, and intuition due to his color blindness, Gaule’s art is vibrant, detailed, and deeply personal, reflecting his journey of belonging and connection to place.

I’m a colour-blind, self-taught artist originally from Nepal, now based on beautiful Awabakal Country (Newcastle). You’d think being colour-blind might hold me back — but it turns out it just makes my art more interesting… or unpredictable… sometimes both!

Irma trained as a set designer for theatre in Lithuania before moving to Australia nearly 20 years ago, where she began working in film. Drawing, painting, and making things have always been her creative sanctuary, running alongside all her other artistic pursuits. As a multidisciplinary artist, Irma values a creative approach to life and finds inspiration through travel, meeting new people, and learning from different cultures.
