The Ellen Melville Centre saw Tiare take out the first Battle of the new season, way back in July last year in the CBD. Her art is inspired by Māori culture, using warm colours and a range of mediums and styles. Raised in a loving whānau, Tiare aims to share that same sense of love and nostalgia through her work. She is skilled in composition, life drawing, colour theory, lighting, shading, perspective and traditional Māori designs inc carving and tukutuku.

From the artist:

Firstly a huge thank you to my family and friends who support me every chance I get in these events. And Praise the Lord for this opportunity to show you all what I have to offer. I am a professional artist who loves traditional painting and the Māori performing arts. I have more hobbies than I can count. My goal is to start up my own studio that centres around 2D animation for Māori films, focusing on our peoples wellbeing.

Specialising in art for kids, she fills her work with love and magic and enjoys exploring mystical and spiritual themes. Alexandra works in airbrush, digital art, sculpting, and acrylic painting.

From the artist:

Hey everyone!

I'm so excited to be here today among so many talented and bold artists! Art Battle isn’t just a competition - it’s a celebration of art and energy, and I’m truly honoured to be a part of it. Thank you for your support — your energy is inspiring! Let the brushes fly and let the colours speak louder than words!

Kelly, also known as Mountain Duck, started out writing graffiti on the streets of Auckland, which eventually led him to create classic-style animated cartoons for Disney and the local show Brotown. His current artwork is a blend of all the influences and styles he's explored, which he describes as "mash-up surrealist psychedelic cartoon graffiti."

From the artist:

Coming in fresh off the back of my first "MÓNDÙC" exhibition, I’m that pop energy back to the battle — a bit raw, a bit ancestral, and a bit street... Hyped to be returning for my second Grand Final at Eden Park, to celebrate another season of Art Battle AKL with you all in the World Cup Lounge, so step up to the arena and catch the chaos!
