Some of her favourite artistic mediums to express herself with are through painting, drawing and sculpting.
Creating has always been important throughout Lindsay’s life to cope with some difficult family relationships and hardships. From a very early age Lindsay was diagnosed with a learning disability and struggles with reading, writing, as well as expressing herself socially and academically. At age eleven her father committed suicide, continuing the downward spiral of her family and home life. Lindsay has since become estranged to her two sisters, and her mother passed away from an opioid overdose in May of 2024. Lindsay is very grateful for the support and care of CAMH, and Children’s Aid Society, and various family and friends throughout her life, and continues to overcome and create.
Lindsay loves to give back to her community by hosting local art events, volunteering with youth, and sharing her creative passions and knowledge with others. She has hosted many Paint and sip events and hopes to host more in the future. Lindsay has spent the last few years teaching herself to sew, and has created many articles of clothing, alterations, bags, and keychains. When she is not creating, Lindsay can be found playing with her Huskies or cooking a delicious meal. Lindsay is currently enrolled in a transitional educational program at George Brown Polytechnic and hopes to finish a degree in Hospitality in the future.

Mango Rituals
Lamisa (b. Dec 29, 1996, Ontario), aka “mango rituals” is a Canadian-born, second-generation Pakistani artist. A respected member of the Toronto High Rollers Club.
Her work finds its centre of gravity in food, nature, cultural hybridity, and personal healing as interconnected themes, revealing how identity is formed through lived experience and shared community bonds. Her practice spans aerosol, acrylic, watercolor, oil pastels, graphite, charcoal, wood art, and beyond.
Food holds a deeply symbolic place in Lamisa’s art and heart, serving as an infinite mirror to nourishment and renewal. She views food as more than just sustenance, but as a conduit for culture, memories, and healing. A plated gesture of being able to change the world within us and around us. Strategically and organically employing colours that sample a rich visual flavour profile.
Each meal, each paint stroke, each ingredient, each palette are part of recipes that tell stories for generations, and by painting food. She encourages a deeper understanding of how our everyday actions can contribute to the creation of beauty, balance, and harmony in both personal and collective spaces. This philosophy becomes a guiding force in her signature style, which she calls “mango rituals.” Her art becomes a quiet reminder that true transformation begins in the small, deliberate moments, simple acts of preparation.
Lamisa creates a visually delicious avenue for reflection on how food unites and sustains us emotionally, physically, and spiritually. A feast for the mind, body and soul.
