New Orleans-based visual artist and art educator, Sara creates paintings that explore the connection between place and memory. She synthesizes collage, painting, and digital media to investigate this relationship. Pulling from both personal and collective recollections, she brings awareness of the space and the unique intricacies of the human experience.

Patricia's artwork is a mix of abstract and traditional. She creates through painting, sculpture, carnival art, graphic design, floral design. She can create anything with her hands.

Classically trained, Raven often veers far from the madding crowds into an inner silence. An avid reader, she plays with her cats in a sunlight infused studio in New Orleans, where she has lived for 21 years. She plays in light and shadow and color while also drawing and painting the shadow shapes that are all around us.

Somewhere in that shadow is a doll drowned in a glass pond. And somewhere in that light is a fresh breeze blowing white curtains in the soft air.

Heidi is a contemporary artist living and working in New Orleans. Armed with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Louisiana State University, she is well versed in many different mediums. In her current practice, Heidi uses acrylic paint to create moody scenes with heightened color and contrast.

Shannon's paintings are an extension of her emotions, and her emotions fuel her work. She loves to paint faces and enjoys painting with acrylic and oil. Shannon finds that painting live is very relaxing and likes how the audience can see the progression of work.

Andrew considers his art to be impressionistic and Fauvist. Color and value, along with a good composition are really important to Andrew. He loves giving the audience something to look at, dismantling some of the opinions of art creation, while baffling people as an image just sort of appears.

Zelie is a mixed medium artist based in New Orleans. In her art, she tries to capture her relationship and life as someone with paranoid schizophrenia. Zelie works in many mediums including oil, acrylic, digital art, sculpting and collage. She hopes to break the stigma of schizophrenia through her art.

Jordan, a sketch artist, usually takes inspiration from painter Karl Kopinski or Takehiko Inoue. He draws human anatomy and thinks Art Battle is a great way to showcase his talent.
