I have competed at two ArtBattles in London and now looking forward to being part of the ArtBattle in Brighton, infront of a different audience. Although the subject matter of my artwork now varies one of my original inspirations was the sea, so I'm happy to be painting in Brighton. My work ranges from black and white drawings to large scale murals. I'm inspired by the people I meet, the places I go and the emotions I feel. I feel at home at the ArtBattle, as it's where I met my partner, Natalia.

Adam Watt

I love painting scenes from fantasy. I prefer painting from my head as fantasy is so much more interesting than reality. The scenes usually involve some monster or human in a surreal environment.
My approach to painting involves trying to produce my vision of a three- dimensional scene, onto a two-dimensional surface. Having spent many years drawing from observation, I now have a large repertoire of ideas/ subject matter that I can utilise when painting from my head. I try to capture an unsettling mood.
I can work fast, and I am at a level where I don't always need a reference to help me draw or paint a subject.
