Artists can apply to compete. Also, most events have a ‘Wildcard’ easel, where artists leave their names at the door and we draw at random to pick the Wildcard Artist. To be a potential wildcard artist, just buy a ticket and show up!

Annika Vronsky, a Canadian artist with Slovak heritage, started from being an imaginative child to currently studying Animation at Algonquin College. Blame “Spider-man: Across the Spiderverse” from Sony Animations for that decision! Reflective of her own fluctuating artistic style, Annika believes while a concrete brand is definitely important in the world today, also being able to adapt and expand is no less crucial. She explores both digital and traditional media, preferring traditional to plan out her art. “It allows me to see the full picture better than a screen ever will.”

Corrina is a landscape designer by study but an artist at heart. She’s inspired by nature, small everyday moments, color, and play. Her paintings lean into whimsy and vibrance as she experiments with oil, acrylic, watercolor, and oil pastels. A big animal lover, she’s created plenty of pet portraits and even painted a mural of family pets for a boarding kennel. You can often find her sketching in cafés or parks, using her art to explore her feelings, identity, and the world around her.
