Anyse is a visual artist, working in both digital and traditional media. She likes to dabble in all sorts of representational art, but her passion is dark fantasy illustration---fantastical characters and magical creatures. She loves spending time in nature as well as reading fantasy and classic horror, which influences her art.

Regardless the subject and shape their art takes, Elyse always takes joy in the creation--even if they create out of anger and sadness. Their skillset includes painting (acrylic and watercolor/gouache), drawing, carving (lino) and photography.

Cailey is a self-taught, 23-year-old local artist and a stay-at-home mom. She has been creating art for 10 years in many ways for many people! She loves to paint anything just give her a paint brush and watch her go!

Emma is a musician and self-taught Sudbury based multimedia artist that has been creating for over 4 years. Emma focuses on processing their inner turmoil by using their hands and "feeling out" an art piece. The artist finds a way to encapsulate the feelings that would otherwise bubble over, or not be brought to such colored lights.

When I was a child, I’d love to get up close to paintings, look at the brush strokes, and the feeling behind the pieces. Fast forward to today, I am glad to be able to share this experience of wonder and appreciation of the arts with you! Thank you for supporting local artists in our community.

Kemmy, of Grenadian decent, strives to capture every subject's beauty down to the smallest detail. He enjoys drawing and painting.

Gillian Hebert is an experienced visual artist, graphic designer, marketing specialist and business owner with experience in the illustration industry. Gillian aims to provide high-quality illustrations to bring visions to life.

Caitlin paints photo realism and abstract pieces. She creates art pieces that revolve around other's inspirations. While her main media is painting and drawing, her skills and mediums are varied. She currently runs a paint night in Sudbury and her own home art studio.

At Brian's core is getting complex imagery and a sense of color---in black and white! He uses India ink and brush with minimal linework. However, he does have an incredible sense of color which he honed professionally as a background painter in animation. Additionally, Brian's work is expressive, with a strong line, and lot of charm and character.

I came here today, ready to battle, armed with canvas and brush.
I realize now, looking around, we will not be engaging in literal physical combat armed with mixed media...
I guess the Art Battle scene of my youth has changed.
Luckily, I know more than one way to draw blood.
