I am a mother of two children who’ve passed their teenage years.
I’ve been supporting them for 18 years and watched as they grew up as beautiful people. I believe that I can raise myself as good as
my children, so I decided to discipline myself as an artist.
Song arts - I was inspired by Korean traditional paintings- paintings made with black ink, but I painted it in oil.
Inspired by the technique of expressing light and darkness through the lightness and shade of ink, I use the oil painting to express on canvas using a technique of spreading thick or thin.
In Korean paintings, blank spaces are left on the screen and the use of color is restrained. This is part of the composition of the screen, but the left blank spaces and restrained colors stimulate the viewer's imagination.

Chrissy is back! Chrissy, a tattoo artist, loves exploring different styles and mediums in her art. However, she is always drawn back to vivid colorful portraits or darker subjects.

Self-taught Mark paints with feelings of beauty and darkness and it gives him a way to express his innermost feelings and desires. He loves to create energy movement and flow in his art. He is an airbrush artist at heart and typically uses airbrush on aluminum panels.

A portrait artist with over 13 years' experience, Inkingalot likes to use all mediums, art styles and materials. However, he is most known for his work with charcoal, pastel, acrylic, and digital 2d.

Katherine is back! A visual artist from Edmonton, Katherine specializes in realism and nature's beauty. She's hoping at this event, that everyone will somehow be drawn into the hidden universe of an artist and appreciate the chaos.

Harwell classifies their primarily naturalistic creativity as “fine art.” Boasting an incredibly detailed portfolio of colored pencil and acrylic paintings, Harwell skillfully paints naturalistic images of nature, landscapes, and people.

Alex, a Canadian artist based in Edmonton, gets inspiration from a wide variety of places, genre and pop culture. Since childhood, he has been particularly drawn to horror movies—but Alex doesn't stay in one genre for long! His favorite animal is the turtle, and his specializations are oil painting and digital painting.

Raevyn Berg has been painting professionally since graduating from Milan Art Institute in 2021. She paints with a variety of tools, including markers, inks, spray paints, acrylics and oils. She thrives to break the rules and rediscover the joy of her inner child.

I paint with my inner child and always colour outside the lines! I make art fun with the use of so many different materials and enjoy the vibrance of loud neon colours.

Kateryna is known for creating heavily layered textured effects that include bright and mixed metallic acrylics, glitter, and gloss medium. Kateryna’s vast projects often consist of multiple works in a range of different media that are connected through specific themes and meanings.

Marianne enjoys both highly realistic representations that she draws from the many photos she loves taking, as well as the faster and loose semi-abstract styles in both her watercolors and acrylics.

Back at it as I thoroughly enjoy challenging myself in this competition, still trying new subjects, styles, et. I enjoy seeing what all the artists create.

Joanne Ngo is an artist, seamstress, crafter, educator, and the owner of HelloPiggy Creations. She loves to explore ways to create in a variety of mediums, from fabric to paint to henna! In her free time, you'll find Joanne sharing her passion with others through art and sewing lessons, paint nights, and henna parties!
