Alena Savchenko

Alena Savchenko

My name is Alena Savchenko, and I work under the artistic pseudonym Lukian. I am an artist, painting restorer, and art educator currently living and working in the Balkans.

I graduated from the St. Petersburg Repin Academy of Arts, specializing in easel painting restoration. My academic education gave me a deep understanding of classical painting techniques, materials, and the traditions of European art.

Throughout my professional life, I have worked in painting restoration, independent artistic practice, teaching, and creative projects connected with fine art and cultural heritage. I also founded my own painting school, where I taught drawing and oil painting techniques to students of different ages and backgrounds.

I primarily work in realism, creating still lifes, landscapes, portraits, and plein air studies. I am deeply inspired by light, atmosphere, texture, and the quiet beauty of everyday life. Mediterranean landscapes, old European towns, nature, and traditional painting culture strongly influence my work.

Since leaving Russia, I have lived in Montenegro and Serbia, participating in exhibitions, art colonies, and international creative projects. My recent works often explore themes of memory, migration, silence, and belonging, while maintaining a connection to classical artistic traditions.

In addition to painting, I write articles about painting techniques, pigments, and art history, sharing practical and historical knowledge with artists and students.

My paintings are held in private collections in different countries.

Anna Ilina

ANNA ILINA
Architect & Artist
Anna Ilina was born in 1979 in Saint Petersburg and graduated from the Ilya Repin St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. She is an architect and studio founder focused on urban design, contextual architecture, and museum design.

Her work combines contemporary architectural solutions with a strong understanding of place, cultural context, and traditional architectural language. She designs residential and public buildings, public spaces, and museum projects, and for exhibitions leads interdisciplinary teams through the full process — from concept and narrative development to design coordination and final installation.

Since 2013, she has led CLEVERS Studio, working on residential, public, and cultural projects, including the renovation of cultural heritage sites. Her approach is defined by sensitivity to landscape and historical context, with responsibility for concept development, coordination, and project delivery. Hand drawing remains an integral tool within her architectural practice.

Current projects include the renovation of the Botanical Garden in Saint Petersburg, the Museum of Naval Porcelain aboard the clipper Strelok, and the Benois Family Museum in Peterhof.

In Montenegro, she develops the artistic research project Montenegro Context Lab, where watercolor becomes a tool for exploring landscape, light, and identity. Her artistic work reflects an architectural way of seeing — through composition, scale, and the relationship between built form and environment

Zheseniia Kotman

Zheseniia Kotman

I am an artist working within the tradition of plein air painting, exploring the state of light, air, and space through color and texture. My works are not merely landscapes, but emotional captures of a moment — the shifting nature of the environment, the breath of water, the tension of mountains, and the softness of the sky.

My primary medium is oil painting, where expressive brushwork, spontaneity, and the honesty of each stroke play a central role. I do not strive for photographic precision; instead, I seek to convey a sense of presence — a feeling that allows the viewer to step directly into the scene.

My subjects are inspired by nature and coastal landscapes: the sea, mountains, and small architectural forms. Themes of solitude, silence, and an inner dialogue with space often emerge throughout my work.
