Artists can apply to compete. Also, most events have a ‘Wildcard’ easel, where artists leave their names at the door and we draw at random to pick the Wildcard Artist. To be a potential wildcard artist, just buy a ticket and show up!

Aaron likes to describe his art as "sloppy realism"--from afar they might be realistic but close up they are just sloppy. He enjoys using his fingers, brushes, palate knives, and even flicking at the canvas.

Marshy is a 19 year old illustrator that loves using watercolors and drawing bunnies. Marshy identifies as non-binary and is part of the Peguis First Nation. They use their struggle with mental health, autism, and gender dysphoria to inspire their work. They hope to spread the message of support and love for those going through their own struggles.

Jada Ferris
Jada is an Ojicree artist from Constance Lake First Nation located in Treaty 9. Jada works with mainly acrylics, markers and pencil, but enjoys trying any medium she could get her hands on. She enjoys creating native floral designs and abstract work. She also has worked on murals, participated in art residency and has had work displayed in the Thunder Bay Art Gallery.
I’m excited to participate and see what everyone creates, I’m sure this will be so much fun!

John is a self-taught artist who enjoys making art in a variety of mediums. He mostly enjoys drawing and painting but also creates through digital painting. He is inspired by Thunder Bay and its surrounding area. John strives for photorealism.

Meredith has been a multimedia artist for years. She primarily leans towards the fantasy and ethereal energy and finds inspiration in her imagination and music. Being able to look at the world around her and imagine stories and how it could be instead of what it actually is fuels many of Meredith's pictures.

Kia williams

Kia paints in thin layers and usually needs months to achieve the 3D look her style has. She started as a portrait artist in charcoal but has always been true to art in any medium that is presented. Kia currently creates videos about being a female off-grid person and has served in the military.

Robbi Lee has created and sold his art since the age of 12. He has worked with many mediums of art including photo realistic paintings, pencil drawings and sculpture. Robbi Lee is known for being a fast painter and co-owns a local Thunder Bay small business with his fiancé, Zoey May, that they call Ernst Engraved ArtZ.
They say art reflects life, my life obsession has been my art so I hope I can portray my passion and inspire folks just as others have inspired me. Anyone can make art, never forget that.
